University of Chicago

Mariana,

We did it little girl.

I'm about to walk the stage and receive my diploma.

I'd be lying if I said I was not nervous.

It is funny because all the hard parts are finished in this leg of our journey.

It was long, long road and nobody has had it easy.

Here you are in Chicago with mamma, Gramma, Guela, and uncle Eric.

You're here, Mariana and we accomplished our mission.

I love you so much, little girl, and there was not a single day that I did not think of you.

You are the lady of our Bean, my love and pride.

Thank you, Mariana.

They are calling our names and we're about to march to bagpipes.

"A question for you Mariana..."

" The people are asking,"
"and they want to know how old you are."
